What experiences did you have in elementary, middle, and high school that seem like they could have been "standards-based?"
- Dialogue with students about current understanding and expectations for new learning
In elementary school, we as the students in the classroom would learn how to count with our fingers but as we reach middle and high school the teachers would give us these worksheets that would consist of bigger problems which was more difficult.
Would you say that most of your schooling has been "teacher-centered" or "standards-based?"
As a group we came to an agreement that teachers are more "teacher-centered" the reason why is because they always pick out topics for us and its always their way.
